All applicants over the age of 18 are required to submit an application and pay the $35 fee. Each applicant will need their own Zillow account to submit their own application.
When the first applicant starts an application, they can take the steps below to add their co-applicants in the Your household section.
First, choose the total number of adult co-applicants.
Next, add the name, phone number, and email for all of your co-applicants. When you click Done adding co-applicants, we will send an email to all of your co-applicants. They can then log into their own Zillow account, and use the link to submit their portion of the application.
The first applicant can then finish submitting their application using their information only.
If a co-applicant clicks on the invitation they received and is directed to a read-only application, this means that they are still logged into the first applicant’s account. If this happens, the co-applicant should log out of Zillow, then log back into their own account before clicking on the link in the invitation.
If the first applicant has already submitted an application and needs to add a co-applicant, they will need to withdraw the application and start a new one. Applications can’t be edited after they have been submitted. Please follow the steps below to add a co-applicant:
- Withdraw your application from your Renter Hub. To do this, click on the application, then click Withdraw application.
- Start a new application by clicking Apply now on the rental listing. If you don’t see an Apply now button, click Request to apply. The landlord will then need to send you an email invitation to start a new application.
- In the Your household section of the application, add the name, phone number, and email for every adult co-applicant.
- Don’t forget to re-submit your application! After completing all sections of the application, complete the Agree and submit section.
