How do I edit my application?

Overview

This article explains how to edit your Zillow rental application if it is still in progress or if it has already been submitted. Once an application has been submitted, it cannot be edited. To make changes, you need to withdraw it and reapply. If you reapply within 30 days of your original purchase date, you will not be charged again.

If your application has not been submitted yet, you can edit it directly from your Application Hub..

Go to your Application Hub

To manage your application:

  1. Log in to your Zillow account using your Zillow account email address.
  2. Hover over Rent in the main menu.
  3. Select See your Applications.
  4. Select the Application you wish to edit and edit the desired information

Update a submitted application

If your application has already been submitted, it can no longer be edited directly. To make changes, you will need to withdraw it first and then reapply.

To withdraw the application and open a new editable version:

  1. Navigate to the Application Hub here.
  2. Select the application you want to update.
  3. Click Withdraw application.
  4. Go back to the main Application Hub page.
  5. Open the Archived section.
  6. Open the recently withdrawn application.
  7. Click Reapply.

If you resubmit the application within 30 days of your original purchase date, you will not be charged another application fee.

Edit an application that has not been submitted

If your rental application has not been submitted yet, you can update the information directly from your Application Hub before submitting it.

If you need to update screening report information before submitting

If you are editing the information used to generate your screening reports, open the application and:

  1. Click Edit in the Screening reports section.
  2. Click Edit information to re-enter your information and generate new reports.

If you need to redo identity verification before submitting

If you are updating your identity verification information before submitting, open the application from the Application Hub and:

  1. Click Edit in the Identity Verification section.
  2. Click Begin to enter your information again.
