How often do my listings update on Zillow?
LeaseStar has set file pick up times, which is when data updates are picked up by ILS. You can view these for Zillow under Listing Services → File Pick Up Times → Zillow Rental Network_T
Zillow will attempt to pick up the file 7 times a day, every 2 hours beginning at 7 AM CDT.
I no longer have units available, how do I update my listing?
We encourage users to ensure that their listings are still sent to ILS, even when units are not available, to ensure that when units do come available, they'll update on your listing as close to real-time as possible.
If you do not wish to receive leads, clients on the Zillow Rent Connect product can manually activate waitlist for their community until units are available again.
To ensure that your listing is continuously sent to Zillow, configure your settings in LeaseStar as the following: Floorplan Settings > Publish Floorplans Only when Units are Available must be unchecked.

Photos aren’t showing on Zillow, what do I do?
- Ensure that all photos added to your property are unique images. DO NOT include the same photos under your Units or Floor plan images if they have already been added as property photos
- Ensure that your photos are in a valid photo file format: JPG, GIF, BMP, FPX, PNG, PSD, and TIF. (Note: LAB color space is not supported.)
Only photos smaller than 25MB can be uploaded. The maximum dimensions allowed for an image is 2048 x 1536 pixels, with a minimum dimension of 1024 x 768 pixels.
There isn't a resolution limit (just a size limit of 25MB), but we do recommend using the 2048 x 1536 size.
- Ensure only 1 floor plan layouts are added to floor plans. Zillow can only display 1 floor plan layout per floor plan. Additional photos should be added to individual units or to the main property photos.

- Ensure that all photos added to your property are unique images. DO NOT include the same photos under your Unit images if they have already been added to the property elsewhere.
- If updates are made, wait 24 hours for these to come to Zillow.
My address is incorrect on Zillow, what do I do?
Check the address you have entered in RealPage. Addresses MUST include a street number, street name, city, state and zip code.
If your community has multiple addresses, the address used should either be your Leasing Office address (if located on-site), or the entrance to your community. For best results, please select 1 building to advertise as the property address and do not list as a range, ie: use 100 Smith Street not 100-200 Smith Street.
Address CANNOT include unit or suite numbers (if Property Type is Multi-Family), property names, or other invalid details which are not apart of the official building address.
- If any corrections are made: Allow 24 hours for the correct address to syndicate to Zillow.
- If the address is correct in LeaseStar, but displaying incorrectly on Zillow (slightly different variation): Reach out to the Zillow support team.
