Why didn't my listing go live?
Reasons your listing may not be published:
Your listing is already being posted from another rental source.
Zillow will only ever publish a single version of a listing at any given time. If the listing is already coming from a listing feed, or another account in Rental Manager, it is very likely for your listing to be declined.
Your listing is already posted for sale.
For Sale and For Rent listings can now be shown simultaneously. When both are showing simultaneously, the rental listing appears in the Also listed on section of the HDP.
Please keep in mind that the For Sale listing will always be the primary listing that displays.
The listing is in a large rental community.
If your listing is in a community of 25+ units it may require a multifamily advertising agreement. This lets the apartment community's management company manage the inventory and marketing of the entire community. Individual listings can not be posted directly. For more information, please see http://www.zillow.com/rental-property-advertising/
The rental listing is in New York.
In certain areas of New York, only listings coming directly via StreetEasy will be posted on Zillow, Trulia, and HotPads. To advertise your listing via StreetEasy, please click here and select the appropriate category. If you need further assistance with listing on StreetEasy, you can email support@streeteasy.com.
My description is missing on Zillow
Zillow Rental Manager does not allow phone numbers, email addresses, links, and other self-promotional or marketing content in the listing description. Please make sure that your description does not have any of this information. For more information, see our Listings Quality Policy.
Please note that any changes to your listing, including a change to the description may take up to 24 hours to update on Zillow, Trulia, and HotPads.
How do I find my Listing on the Zillow Network?
You can check the syndication status in Zillow Rental Manager from your listing page
- Access your active listing.
- Click View on Network.
- Select the site you would like to navigate to.
Note: Syndication is not immediate. It can take up to 24 hours for syndication to Zillow, Trulia, and HotPads.
If your listing is not posted to one or more of these sites after 24 hours, visit this FAQ for more information.
How Often Do My Listings Update?
Real-time Syndication: Real-time syndication is a feature that leverages Zillow's Real-Time API to provide near-instant updates to rental listings. Developers must integrate their systems with this API to enable the seamless flow of rental listing updates.
Standard Integrations: If your current integration does not include real-time syndication, your listings will be updated on a schedule tailored to each provider's request. Updates to your listings may take a bit longer compared to real-time syndication. Changes made to your rental listings through bulk feeds are processed periodically, and it may take a few hours for the updates to reflect on the Zillow platform.
How do I know if my provider is connected to Zillow’s real-time endpoint?
- Contact your provider: Reach out to your feed provider directly and inquire about their integration with Zillow's real-time endpoint. Ask them if they have the capability to send updates in real-time to Zillow and if they have an established connection with the platform.
What’s the process for enabling Real-time syndication?
- This typically involves following our API documentation, implementing the required endpoints, and ensuring data is formatted correctly.
- Our documentation can be requested by submitting your integration request.
- By meeting the requirements of real-time syndication, developers can ensure that rental listing updates are sent and reflected on platforms like Zillow within a few minutes. This allows for accurate and up-to-date information, enhances the visibility of listings, and improves the overall efficiency of the listing management process.
