How do I edit or manage my For Sale By Owner listing?

You can edit, extend, or cancel your For Sale By Owner listing from the owner view of your home's property page. Please be sure to sign in to Zillow with the email address you used to create the listing.

Edit a For Sale By Owner Listing

  1. Sign in to the Zillow profile you used to create the listing.
  2. Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Select Your Home from the menu options.
  3. Click on the tile for your home to be redirected to the owner view of your listing.
  4. From the listing, click the Edit Listing icon.
  5. On the following page, add/remove photos, update the price, edit home facts, or change the status of your listing.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue Update For Sale By Owner button to save your changes.

Cancel a For Sale By Owner Listing

  1. Sign in to the Zillow profile used to create the listing.
  2. Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen, and select Your Home from the menu options.
  3. Click on the tile for your home to be redirected to the owner view of your listing.

  4. From the listing, click the More drop down menu and select Cancel Listing.

  • If the property sold, select Sold and enter the sale price and date (optional).

  • If you are relisting with a real estate agent or the property is no longer for sale, select No Longer For Sale. This will cancel the listing until your agent syndicates the new listing to Zillow or until the next time you list it.

  • Click Update Status to save your changes and cancel the listing.

    • Extend a For Sale By Owner Listing

    For Sale By Owner listings remain active on our site for 90 days. If you're nearing the end of this time, you can extend your listing for 90 more days using the steps below.

    1. Sign in to the Zillow profile you used to create the listing.
    2. Click on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen then select Your Home from the menu options.
    3. Click on the tile for your home to be redirected to the Owner View of your listing
    4. Select Extend Listing from the More drop-down menu on the Owner View of your listing.
    5. When prompted on the next screen, click the Extend Listing button.
    6. You'll receive a confirmation notice that the extension was successful and the new expiration date.
