Here are some troubleshooting steps to sign the lease.
- Each co-signer should have received a unique email invitation to sign the lease. If a co-signer did not receive an email invitation to sign the lease, they should first check their spam and junk folders, as sometimes these emails can be caught in spam filters. If the email invitation is not there, connect with your landlord to make sure that they have added a unique email for every co-signer.
- Each co-signer will need to log into or create a Zillow account using the email that the landlord added to the lease. Make sure that you have logged into Zillow with the email that received the invitation to sign the lease. If you are not sure which account you are logged into, try signing out and then sign back in with the correct email.
- Start-signing button is greyed out. If the Start signing button can’t be clicked, the lease signer has likely not reviewed the whole lease document first. There is an orange banner at the top of the lease document. After reviewing the whole lease document, the Start signing button can be clicked and the orange banner will disappear.
