What happens when I request a copy of my data?

You can request an archive of your personal data through the Privacy Portal. Be aware that it may take up to 45 days for our systems to gather and verify your data.

When the process is complete, we will email you a link to a file containing your personal data. You'll need to sign in to your account to view and download the file.

In order to ensure that you receive accurate data, we export it in the same format in which it's stored — we won't manipulate it prior to sharing it with you. This means that the data will be in a machine-readable format, such as a JSON file.

Request a copy of your data
Choose the types of information you're interested in and we'll prepare a data archive for you.

Basic information

  • Personal and account information
    This includes your name, screen name, email address, home address and other information that could identify you. If you've filled out a rental application with us, this could also include your professional and educational background.
  • This includes information associated with services you've used, such as online rental applications, automatic rent payments, lease signings or requests for a Zillow Offer on your home.

Advanced information

  • Browsing history
    This includes homes you've viewed and saved on our sites and data shared with us from other sites.
  • This includes predictive inferences we've generated about your preferences on home types and locations.
  • Geolocation data
    This includes location information gathered by our home search apps, if you've enabled those settings on your devices.
  • This includes records of exchanges with us when connecting with an agent or requesting an offer on your home.
What's not included?
Information we get from public records and other sources about properties, including square feet, number of rooms, property taxes and past sales. Or the Zestimate®, Zillow's estimate of a home's market value.

Details relating to a Zillow Offer that you've requested, including internal calculations and estimates for recommended repairs and upgrades.

Data that isn't linked to you or your account.

Any photos, videos or 3D home tours that you've uploaded. These are available for you to download at any time.
