Listing Decline Reason: No Advertising Contract
For communities with 25+ units, you are eligible for our Multifamily Property advertising. Reach out to our team here to get started.
Listing Decline Reason: Rental listing already posted
If a property you want to list is already posted for rent on Zillow, the listing will be declined:
Your listing is already being posted from another rental source.
Zillow will only ever publish a single version of a listing at any given time. If the listing is already coming from a listing feed, or another account in Rental Manager, it is very likely for your listing to be declined.
For more information about posting a listing that's for sale and for rent simultaneously, see to this article.
Rental Listings In Canada
Will Canadian listings be on Zillow’s mobile apps, or other Brands, like Trulia?
Canadian listings are currently visible on Zillow.com, Hotpads.com, and Zillow and Hotpads' mobile apps. Trulia does not currently support listings in Canada.
Does Zillow host listings from Quebec?
Zillow does not currently display rental listings from Quebec.
Listing Decline Reason: Invalid or Missing Information
A rental listing can be declined if information on the listing is deemed invalid or missing.
When reviewing your listing, please ensure the following information is included and accurate:
- Full address, including the unit number or floorplan
- Some listings require a displayed address
- Contact details, including contact email and phone number
- Price
- Property type
- Bedrooms
- Bathrooms
Once all information is included and accurate, your listing should be posted to Zillow, Trulia, and HotPads.
Listing Decline Reason: Room for Rent
Room for rent listings are not supported for multifamily properties with 25 units or more. If you selected the room for rent category by mistake you will need to contact our support team. Ensure that when creating your new listing you do not check the box that designates your listing as a room for rent. You can find instructions on creating a listing here.
Please note, if you’ve published your listing but aren’t seeing it on Trulia: when you post a Room for Rent listing through Zillow Rental Manager, your listing will be posted to Zillow and HotPads and show a 'Partially Published' status. Trulia does not host listings in this category.
Listing Decline Reason: New York listing
In certain areas of New York, listings need to be posted directly through StreetEasy or Out East. These listings will then syndicate to Zillow, Trulia, and HotPads.
