Zillow Rental Manager: FAQ

Postlets is now Zillow Rental Manager. Zillow Rental Manager combines Postlets’ free and easy-to-use features with the most trusted brand in rentals. It brings together all of the tools and information you need to manage your rentals – from one Zillow account. Your listings will appear on Zillow, Trulia, HotPads and other top rental sites for free.

Account Profiles

Do I get to choose what details you keep on my new profile? We will keep your information as you have it on Zillow or, if we are creating a new Zillow account for you, we will use your Postlets profile information. If you have an existing Zillow professional profile, we will add the specialty of “Property Management".

I already had a Zillow account with the same email username as my Postlets account. How do I access Zillow Rental Manager? You can access Zillow Rental Manager in several ways:

  1. Go to www.zillow.com/rental-manager
  2. Go to Zillow.com and select My Zillow > Zillow Rental Manager
  3. Go to Zillow.com and use the top navigation to select Rent > List your rental > List your rental (it’s free) 

My Zillow account uses a different email address than my Postlets account.   I logged in with my Postlets account email and created a new password on Zillow, but my listings aren’t shown.  What happened to my listings?  In some cases our developers were able to match accounts based on criteria other than account email address.  Try logging in using your Zillow account email, instead.  If you still don’t see your listings please contact customer care at rentalsupport@zillow.com.

I didn’t have a Zillow profile before and now I have one. How do I log in?
We will create a Zillow profile for you and send you an email to create your password. Simply click the link to verify your email and set your password; your profile will be populated with your Postlets information.

I can’t find the email you sent me to activate my Zillow profile and create a password. How do I log in? Please go to Zillow’s password reset page, enter your email address and click send. You will receive a new password to access your account shortly.

If you are still unable to receive this email, please contact Zillow Rental Manager Support and provide the following information:

  • Email address on your listing
  • Full address of your listing (street address, city, state, ZIP)
  • Phone number on your listing

The support teams will be able to find the associated account for you based on the information provided.

Where do I go to edit my Zillow profile?  Go to My Zillow > Profile > Edit

I have a Zillow professional profile (e.g., Real Estate Agent) and I’m a landlord. Why can I only choose one? You can have one profile type and up to four Specialties. You can indicate Specialties, such as Property Management or Landlord, by going to My Zillow > Profile > Edit and checking the appropriate boxes.

Will I be able to have reviews on my Zillow Property Manager profile?  Yes.

I had an account on Trulia; has that also been merged?  Yes, Zillow and Trulia profiles were merged previously.

How can renters search for property managers (access the property manager directory)? Renters and homeowners can search for property managers from the Zillow home page. Go to the “Property managers” link under Agent Finder and search by name or location.




Will my listing still be syndicated to all of the partner sites?  Yes, listings will still be distributed to Zillow, Trulia, HotPads and other top rental sites.

Will I be able to create new For Sale listings in Zillow Rental Manager? No, Zillow Rental Manager only allows you to create rental listngs.  You can go directly to Zillow’s dedicated For Sale posting path where you’ll find a find a suite of free tools and services. 

Our property management office had one Postlets account and each property manager listed their information as the contact information. Can we do the same thing with Zillow Rental Manager? Yes, you will still be able to have contact information specific to a listing.

I had property photos on Postlets that are different than my Zillow photos. Which photos will be kept?  Nothing changes. Your Zillow Rental Manager listings and photos are the same as your Postlets listings and photos that were distributed to Zillow, Trulia, HotPads and our partner sites. Your listings as they appeared on Zillow remain the same.

I just want to list on Trulia (or HotPads or Zillow); does my listing have to appear on all three? Yes, just like Postlets, Zillow Rental Manager distributes listings to multiple sites.
