What is a Coming Soon listing?
A Coming Soon listing is a home that is not officially on the market, but is expected to be listed for sale within 30 days. Buyers can choose to see Coming Soon inventory when searching within a neighborhood or city on Zillow, simply by choosing “Coming Soon” in the search filters.
How can I find Coming Soon listings on Zillow?
You can choose to see Coming Soon inventory when searching within a neighborhood or city on Zillow, simply by choosing “Coming Soon” in the search filters. Coming Soon properties appear on the map alongside for-sale listings. If you see a Coming Soon home you are interested in, you or your agent can directly connect with the listing agent through the contact form alongside the property.
Who can post a Coming Soon listing?
Coming Soon properties can only be posted by a Zillow Premier Agent or an agent whose brokerage or MLS has an agreement with Zillow. If you are posting a Coming Soon listing, we ask you to verify on the upload form that you are in compliance with your local regulations; in most instances, you need a listing agreement in order to represent the property.
How long can I post a property as Coming Soon?
Agents must comply with local MLS rules and regulations governing length of Coming Soon postings.
If your property listed as Coming Soon has not converted to a for-sale listing by the required list date, you will receive an email asking you to do one of the following:
- Convert the listing to a for-sale listing
- Take the Coming Soon listing down
If you do nothing and the property’s status has not changed, Zillow will take your Coming Soon listing down once it expires.
