Income verification allows you to get your monthly income data verified directly from your bank accounts (instead of you having to share pay stubs or bank statements). Income verification is optional and provided by Finicity, an affiliate of Experian.

How do I sign up/access income verification?
Log into your Zillow account and head to your Application dashboard HERE, then open the Income History subsection in your Zillow rental application. Landlords will see a “Verified” label on all income sources that have been verified by Finicity.
Which bank should I use for income verification?
You should choose the bank where you receive paychecks or other recurring deposits. Finicity checks for recurring deposits from a variety of sources, including paychecks, Venmo deposits, and brokerage deposits.
What if my bank or income source isn't listed?
If your bank or income source isn’t listed, skip this verification step and continue uploading other documents (like your pay stub) to verify your income.
Is Zillow storing my bank credentials?
No, neither Zillow nor Finicity will store any of your banking credentials. We only use this information to verify your income information from your bank accounts. Review our Privacy Policy
Can Zillow see or store all the information from my bank account?
Zillow only stores the income source, start date & average monthly income amounts that have been verified by Finicity.
How far back can you verify my income?
Finicity can go back a maximum of two years to verify your income.

Can I manage or end access with Finicity?
Yes, you have a few options to manage or end access with Finicity:

Is income verification mandatory?
Income verification is an optional service. You can skip income verification and manually enter your income information and upload supporting documentation (such as a pay slip).
I have multiple applicants on the rental application, how do we get income verified for more than 1 person?
All co-applicants on Zillow have the ability to link their individual bank accounts & to get their income independently verified during the application process.
Can I use multiple banks or accounts for income verification?
Yes, you can use multiple banks and/or multiple accounts for income verification:

- On the Review your accounts in the Finicity window, select Add new account to add a new bank account.
- Once you’ve added all of your bank accounts, select Submit on the Review your Accounts page. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to add more bank accounts after you’ve submitted information to Finicity.

Can I select multiple income sources?
Yes, you will see all available and verified income sources after you link your bank account. You can select as many income sources as you’d like as part of your rental application.
What’s considered an income source?
An income source is any continuous source of earnings from a job that you receive in a bank account. For example, if you have a full-time job and a part-time job, income from both jobs will appear as two different income sources during the income verification step of your application.
I’m having trouble connecting my bank account. What should I do?
Make sure that you don’t have pop-ups blocked on your web browser. If allowing pop-ups doesn’t work, restart your browser so the updated setting can take effect.
