I received an email from Zillow asking me to verify my own listing by calling a phone number within 5 days. Is this a legitimate request?

Yes. At Zillow Group one of our top priorities is to ensure we offer the safest and most trusted way to view millions of homes and to achieve that goal it is critical we have the most accurate listings possible. We recently expanded our process to verify all existing manually submitted For Sale by Owner (FSBO) and For Sale by Agent (FSBA) listings. If you received an email from Zillow with a unique case number and phone number to call, please call the phone number in the email within 5 days to verify your listing. Our team will not ask to verify any forms of payment, passwords or your social security number. After 5 days any listing that was not verified by Zillow will be removed and you will be required to re-submit your listing to us entirely. Note that a newly submitted listing could take up to 72 hours to be verified and be posted on our sites.
